Violin Teacher – Opus 1 Music Studio
This is a full‑time violin teaching position for the Opus 1 faculty. Part‑time consideration is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications- Current legal status to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
- Bachelor’s degree in music; preference for MM/MA, DM/PhD.
- Live in the Bay Area with reliable transportation to Mountain View/Palo Alto.
- Experience teaching, performing, and preparing students for performances and exams.
- Exceptional communication skills with students and parents.
- Willingness to design personalized lesson plans to meet students’ goals.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new teaching environments.
- Knowledge of ABRSM Practical and Theory Exams, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage teaching schedule through the school app/website and adhere to attendance policies.
- English proficiency.
- Available hours depend on demand; may include Sunday–Saturday mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
- Weekday teaching: 2:30 p.m.–9 p.m.; weekends vary 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
- Ideal candidates work six consecutive teaching hours per day, a minimum of three days per week, full‑time 5 days per week preferred.
- Professional full‑time staff manage all administrative work.
- High‑quality Yamaha Pianos and teaching environment.
- Three recital/performance opportunities per year for students.
- Certification training for group class teachers and curriculum development.
- Ongoing professional development, mentorship, and training.
- Hourly rate dependent on education, experience, and background: $50–$60 per hour.
- W2 employees only; salary based on hours taught, credentials, days of teaching, part‑time/full‑time status.
