Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer - Analog and Circuit design
Location: Mountain View, CA

Job SummaryThe Senior Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of automotive electronic hardware systems. The role requires strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, automotive hardware development processes, and functional safety compliance per ISO 26262. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional hardware and system teams to deliver high-quality, safety-compliant automotive solutions.
Responsibilities- Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for automotive applications.
- Execute complete automotive hardware development activities in alignment with industry standards and internal processes.
- Perform hardware safety analyses, including:
- Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
- Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA)
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements throughout the hardware development lifecycle.
- Utilize engineering and analysis tools such as Mathcad, Ansys Medini, and other relevant software tools.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and cross-functional teams through continuous and effective communication.
- Support design reviews, documentation, and validation activities as required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in hardware design for automotive applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive hardware development processes and standards.
- Proven experience working with ISO 26262 Functional Safety standards.
- Hands-on experience performing WCCA, DFMEA, FMEDA, and FTA.
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as Mathcad, Ansys Medini, or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
