  • Participate in hardware safety unit design and implementation.
  • Develop test plans, test procedures, and verification reports at hardware unit and hardware integration levels; support system-level testing from a hardware safety perspective.
  • Support hardware-software interface development and derive safety measures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to review and assess work products for ISO 26262 compliance.
  • Travel up to 10% to test sites as needed.
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in hardware, electrical, mechanical or related engineering and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with ISO 26262 Part 4, 5, 8 and 9, with emphasis on Part 5 for autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience with safety-critical system work products, especially DFMEAs for electrical and embedded components.
  • Experience with system and hardware-level verification and validation of autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, SOTIF, and UL 4600.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to structure project tasks and drive evidence development among teams.
  • Knowledge of hardware configuration management and hardware quality assurance.
What we offer
  • Competitive compensation package including equity and annual bonuses.
  • Excellent medical, dental, and vision plans through partner providers, including infertility benefits.
  • Additional benefits: legal services, identity protection, hospital indemnity, accident and critical illness insurance.
  • Flexible PTO, paid holidays, and parental leave policies.
  • Office located in Mountain View, CA; dog-friendly with free catered lunch, stocked kitchen, and free EV charging.
  • Wellbeing programs and resources, including Headspace, Calm, One Medical, Gympass, Spring Health, and more.
  • Fidelity 401(k); commuter benefits, FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and HSA.
