• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in C/C++.
• Experience with computer architecture, Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), and assembly language.
• Experience with systems concepts such as OS internals (e.g., process scheduling, memory hierarchy, interrupts, system calls, etc.).

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on Computer Architecture.
• Experience with system emulation and tracing tools like GEM5, QEMU, Coresight ETM, or Dynamo
  
  RIO.
• Knowledge of tool chains.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$161,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Manage complex systems such as bringing up complicated software systems like Android. Characterize critical workloads (Chrome, Google Maps, Genshin Impact, Fortnite, etc.) and identify performance bottlenecks or patterns.
• Build infrastructure (based on QEMU/Dynamo Rio/Gem5/Coresight ETM, etc.) that makes transformative impact on Google’s next-generation processor design.
• Grow into a full-stack engineer with highly sought-after skill sets in the industry.
