In this role, you will- Define, develop and execute test methodologies for verification and validation of autonomous hardware systems and components.
- Collaborate with and influence key cross‑functional partners, including Hardware Systems, Safety, Test organizations, Firmware and Electrical Engineering.
- Perform requirements analysis, architecture studies and system characterization to derive clear performance metrics.
- Drive cross‑functional reviews and achieve consensus on key design validation decisions.
- Drive sustaining engineering efforts, including root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for issues found in the field.
- Support failure mode analysis and risk assessments by supplying necessary analysis and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of proven experience in product development, hardware test, verification, validation of electrical and/or electro‑mechanical systems.
- Deep understanding of V&V process, testing methodologies, statistical analysis, RCCA process for PCBA, module and system‑level functions across Power, Thermals, Communication interfaces, Compute, Memory, Sensors.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience with system design, engineering, validation for complex electrical systems such as Autonomous, Robotics or Aviation products.
- Experience with ISO 16750-2 and/or ISO 26262 standards, automotive ethernet, CAN.
- Experience delivering 0 to 1 products and knowledge of Product Development Process (PDP).
The base salary range for this position is $154,000-$223,500 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
