Electrical Systems Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Test Engineer to support the verification and validation (V&V) of electrical systems in autonomous vehicle platforms. This role will involve executing tests across multiple environments, developing test plans for high and low voltage components, and providing technical assistance to fellow engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics, electromechanical systems, and hands‑on electrical lab work.

Scope
  • Support V&V activities for electrical systems in both new and existing autonomous vehicle platforms
  • Execute test procedures in environments such as full vehicles, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems, and hardware test benches
  • Collaborate with engineers to create new test plans for vehicle electrical systems, power generation modules, and low voltage batteries
  • Provide technical guidance to test engineers and conductors during verification activities
  • Contribute to test setup, troubleshooting, and debugging of electrical and electromechanical subsystems
Required
  • Proven experience testing power electronics and high/low voltage electrical systems
  • Skilled in test planning and experimental design, with a focus on safety and repeatability
  • Background in electromechanical systems that integrate hardware, electrical systems, communication protocols, and software
  • Strong hands‑on skills with wiring, soldering, and harness creation
  • Proficient with electrical test tools including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power loads, programmable power supplies, etc.
  • Experience using data acquisition tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, ETAS INCA, MDA, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, which may include education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace, or related fields
Pluses
  • Experience building and debugging electromechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of low‑level electronic components (e.g., transistors, relays, capacitors, diodes) and their role in PCB assemblies
  • Familiarity with test automation and scripting (e.g., Python, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink)
  • Experience working in environments with hardware/software integration challenges

Estimated Min Rate: $45.00

Estimated Max Rate: $65.00
