Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer with a strong focus on electrical/electronic design to support the development, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced computing systems and prototypes. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between product design and manufacturing, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality product introduction into production.

This role requires hands-on expertise in electrical/electronic systems, NPI processes, and close collaboration with hardware engineers, software engineers, and Contract Manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with assembly and integration of complex electromechanical and electronic systems, including PCBA, chassis, and rack-level hardware.
  • Conduct hardware bring-up, functional testing, and performance validation using lab instrumentation.
  • Support system builds, upgrades, and maintenance for testing platforms and engineering use.
  • Execute and document test procedures, including setup, data collection, and issue tracking.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues such as short circuits, signal integrity problems, and power-related faults.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for assembly and debugging.
  • Evaluate product designs for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and identify potential production issues early in the design cycle.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to implement solutions and drive improvements.
  • Create and maintain process documentation such as work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
  • Lead and support pilot builds, ensuring quality standards and manufacturability are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical design, NPI, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Experience with DFM/DFA principles and tools.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with PCBA and system-level assembly/debugging.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
