Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead strategic and cross-functional infrastructure improvement projects and end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment of concepts in terms of scope, time and cost.
- Partner closely with the Client’s Technical Services Team and stakeholders to optimize process, procedure and project delivery.
- Develop ROM-level project estimates for funding approval based on project program documents.
- Prepare agendas, develop and maintain master project schedules and budgets for each project and project phase.
- Ensure the project plan, scope, work structure, schedule and budget are maintained by all involved parties (consultants, engineers, architects, vendors, stakeholders, etc.).
- Select and manage project team and resources, including subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and partners through a bidding and vendor selection process.
- Regularly monitor the progress of all projects by completing site visits, tracking procurement activities and reviewing contractor performance.
- Conduct project meetings (including taking and sharing minutes), track deliverables assigned in meetings, coordinate project updates/reports and drawing reviews at conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phases.
- Review and approve requisitions, change orders and invoices associated with the project.
- Oversee document preparation and completion (e.g., contracts, close-outs, punch lists, etc.).
- Play a critical leadership, coordination and communication role with all stakeholders.
- Adhere to Client and JLL policies and procedures, obtain necessary approvals, understand local permitting processes and work with local building officials to obtain permits, approvals and final acceptance.
- Conduct value engineering based on client basis of design, site conditions and solid understanding of industry benchmarking.
- Continuously seek and capitalize upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Recommend and assist with internal program and process improvements.
- Create and evaluate project reporting; provide timely and accurate project status reporting to internal and external parties.
- Assist with strategic internal program and process improvements.
- Manage day-to-day client experience and expectations; provide input for account reporting and KPI tracking as needed.
- Lead a project team to investigate, develop and implement energy and carbon related projects (e.g., solar PV, energy storage, LED lighting retrofits, HVAC, BMS, water fixture and meter retrofits, and electrification).
- Understand HVAC and renewable system architecture to identify project requirements (structural, electrical, mechanical).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent education, training and experience.
- 5+ years of project or construction management experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing technical infrastructure with respect to MEPSF systems (preferred).
- Certification in PE, AIA, LEED or CMAA is considered an asset.
- PMP certification or ability to pursue one.
- Solid understanding of the construction industry, terminology, codes, documentation, and design disciplines.
- Strong proficiency with computer applications including Google Suite.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Clarizen and Procore.
- Willing/able to travel as needed; on-site client‑facing position requiring ability to work from the office or site location.
- Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Detail oriented and thorough.
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- General office work, including extended periods of sitting and operating a computer for up to 8 hours per day.
- Climbing roof ladders periodically.
- Standing periods, such as operating a copier/fax/scanner.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type.
