* Minimum qualifications:

* + Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, Economics, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

+ 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.

+ 5 years of experience in energy project development, commercial negotiations, or business development for infrastructure, power generation, data center projects, or related industries.

+ Experience developing and negotiating energy or infrastructure partnerships (e.g., power purchase agreements (PPAs) or utility interconnection contracts).

+

Experience with emerging energy technologies, such as next-gen geothermal, advanced nuclear, energy storage (e.g., batteries or non-electrochemical), and decarbonization solutions (e.g., carbon capture).

As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth.

You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.

The Advanced Energy Technologies team works to unlock and scale advanced energy technologies to meet Google's AI and data center growth needs and our clean energy and decarbonization goals, through strategic investments, offtake, and partnerships. Examples of technologies we work on include: next generation geothermal, advanced nuclear, long duration energy storage, carbon capture and sequestration, and grid technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
