Manufacturing Engineer

Position Overview

Manufacturing Engineer (Laminate Designer) – responsible for ensuring aircraft components, including batteries, composites, motors, wire harnessing, and aircraft assembly, are designed to be manufacturable for our Generation6 autonomous all‑electric aircraft.

On‑site at our Mountain View office, 5 days per week.

• Create process flows for design‑to‑manufacturing integration.
• Support manufacturing engineering and technicians during builds.
• Help optimize build process and increase manufacturing rates.

• B.S. in a relevant engineering discipline with 2–4 years of industrial manufacturing or custom assembly experience.
• Experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or similar industries where engineering designs are taken to the manufacturing floor.
• Hands‑on experience with composite fabrication, aircraft assembly, battery manufacturing, motor assembly, or component mechanisms.
• Applied knowledge of NX, industrial equipment, precision tooling, or advanced manufacturing systems.
• Familiarity with MES systems, lean manufacturing, aircraft design, and ASME Y14.5.
• Familiarity with Siemens tools (NX, Team Center, Easy Plan, Ops Center, etc.).
• Automation design experience at the sub‑assembly level.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six‑Sigma principles.
• Self‑motivated, solution‑oriented, strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.

• Full‑time, salary range $95,000–$118,000 per year (dependent on location and experience).
