Location:
Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 12 Months
Onsite 5 days a week.
Primary Function of Position:
This position will be responsible for the support of engineers in the Vision NPI department. This includes assembly of test equipment for endoscopes and other vision system components, assembling prototype endoscopes, and conducting testing and calibration of endoscopes and other components of Client vision system. This position will also be responsible for the preventive maintenance and calibration of engineering owned imaging and electronic test equipment in the Vision NPI engineering lab.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Build and assist with construction of electro-mechanical test fixtures and engineering prototypes
Build and testing of prototype endoscopes and other vision related products
Perform tests and calibration of optical systems using custom made test equipment
Performing equipment qualifications IQOQPQ and GR&R
Coordinate or perform Preventive Maintenance of customized test fixtures
Perform other engineering technician duties as-needed
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
6 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering environment
Certificate or Associates degree in Mechanical/Opto-Mechanical/Laser Technology preferred.
Experience with electro-mechanical manufacturing and test with optical test platforms preferred
Able to contribute on design, construction, and improvement of opto-mechanical test fixtures
Ability to solve technical issues with a basic understanding of mechanical drawings & electrical schematics
Ability to fabricate fixtures from assembly drawings and associated documentation
Experience with basic electrical measurement techniques
Hands-on capability performing compact assembly tasks including soldering
Proven ability to work well in team environment
Proficiency with computers and Excel software
Familiarity with Agile or equivalent PDM tool
Familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP tool
Excellent communication and documentation skills
