Honda Research Institute USA (HRI-US) is seeking a self‑motivated researcher to join our Mobility Research team. This individual will contribute to the development of efficient generative models for end‑to‑end autonomous driving, training and distilling a model to enable real‑time inference.

• Train and distill a generative model for the end‑to‑end autonomous driving task.
• Apply model adaptation techniques to achieve real‑time inferencing capability.
• Benchmark the developed algorithm's performance in closed‑loop simulation and on physical hardware.
• Publish findings in a top‑tier conference or journal.

• M.S. candidate in robotics, electrical/computer engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
• Research experience in machine learning, decision‑making, motion planning, and robotics.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and/or C++, and ROS.
• Experience with ML architectures such as PyTorch or Tensor Flow.

• Ph.D. candidate in robotics, electrical/computer engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
• Publication record in machine learning, decision‑making, and motion planning in top‑tier venues such as NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICML, AAAI, ICRA, IROS, etc.
