Industrial Designer

The role involves designing and developing user-centric, manufacturable solutions for self-driving vehicle integration, collaborating closely with engineering and OEM partners to iterate prototypes, refine designs, and ensure seamless platform integration for autonomous vehicles.

• Develop user-centric design solutions for self-driving kit vehicle integration and user interactions.
• Create sketches, CAD models, and visual assets to communicate design concepts.
• Collaborate with engineering and OEM partners to ensure design feasibility and performance.
• Work with vehicle teams to ensure seamless platform integration, including mounting, protection, and serviceability, applying DFM principles.
• Prototype and test designs to validate decisions and identify potential issues early.
• Coordinate with OEM partners and suppliers to align requirements and support manufacturing documentation.

• 3 to 6 years of experience in industrial, automotive or product design.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong execution and a grasp of the end to end process from discovery through DFM refinement.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Solid Works, CATIA, Alias, Keyshot or similar for A-Surface design iteration development and visualization.
• Strong sketching skills used as a thinking tool and high fidelity presentation tool internally and externally.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection molding, CNC, sheet metal, etc.
• Experience collaborating with engineers on complex products.
