Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in direct electromagnetic (EM) modeling using tools such as Ansys HFSS/Q3D, CST microwave studio, or Cadence Clarity.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
- Experience in electromagnetic fields and near-field coupling mechanisms.
- Experience in Signal Integrity and Power Integrity simulation and measurement correlation.
- Experience in lab measurement skills, with scripting capabilities (e.g., Python, MATLAB) to drive both measurement and Electronic Design Automation (EDA) simulation automation.
- Proficiency with industry-standard SI/PI simulation and layout ecosystems, including Ansys SIwave, Cadence (Power
SI, Power
DC, Allegro, APD), Keysight ADS, and HSPICE.
In this role, you will participate actively across all lifecycle stages of Pixel Watch product development and serve as the technical owner for component and system-level Electromagnetic (EM) integrity, signal and power integrity. You will translate data into actionable architecture-level insights and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to predict, debug, and optimize the hardware performance of next-generation wearable technology.
Responsibilities- Lead comprehensive EM simulations at both the component and system levels, focusing on passive mode extraction and overall system performance analysis.
- Perform detailed correlation studies between simulation models and bench lab measurements to ensure and maintain high-fidelity simulation accuracy.
- Deliver targeted simulations and Design of Experiments (DOE) to assist cross-functional teams with EM-related debugging, root-cause analysis, and hardware optimization.
- Conduct Pixel Watch Signal Integrity and Power Integrity (SIPI) simulations in the frequency domain, focusing on Power Delivery Network (PDN) analysis and optimization.
- Provide data-driven analysis to actively support, guide, and validate high-level architecture decisions, and develop and define EM design rules and routing guidelines to integrate next-generation sensors.
