Job Overview
Lanteris Space is seeking a motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the engineering functions related to the fabrication, assembly, and testing of spacecraft structures, panels, and central cylinders.
Responsibilities- Create and release necessary documentation to fabricate, assemble, and test spacecraft structures, panels, and cylinders.
- Work with assembly technicians and other engineering personnel to ensure the highest quality product is produced in the most efficient manner possible.
- Collaborate with Tooling Engineers to determine tooling required to fabricate quality structures.
- Resolve issues that arise in production in partnership with assembly technicians and engineering personnel.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related field.
- Four years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Two years of relevant work experience.
- General Dimensioning and Tolerancing proficiency.
- Ability to use general measurement tooling (calipers, micrometers).
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing techniques of aerospace structures.
- Experience working with composite cylinders and panels as well as strut assemblies.
The base pay for this position within California is: $82,000.00 - $ annually. For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market‑driven ranges, and each location may have a different range.
