Job Description & How to Apply Below

Skylo is a global Non‑Terrestrial Network service provider based in Mountain View, CA, offering a service that allows smartphone and IoT cellular devices to connect directly over existing satellites. Skylo’s direct‑to‑device service is now live on millions of activated devices across five continents, with more than 60 million square kilometers of coverage, in partnership with multiple satellite operators, mobile network operators (MNOs), Tier‑1 chipset makers, and OEMs.

Devices connected over satellite are managed and served by Skylo’s commercial NTN vRAN, featuring a 3

GPP standards‑based cloud‑native base station and core. Skylo provides an anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass‑market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT.

This role can be performed remotely with a preference for candidates located in Mountain View, CA, where we are onsite three days per week.

Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo

Skylo is looking for a Principal Product Manager to define the commercial future of our network. You will be responsible for actively hunting for new market opportunities that our unique technology can unlock. You will sit at the intersection of Skylo’s engineering and the global market. Your mandate is to identify unique technical enablers—such as novel capabilities unlocked by future standards, or leverage internal research—and translate them into viable, end‑to‑end products.

You will define the What and Why for our next generation of services, driving them from technical possibility to commercial reality across new verticals and uncharted markets.

How You Will Contribute
  • You will look outward to the market to identify unmet customer needs and map them to Skylo’s emerging technical capabilities. You will identify problems that Skylo’s engineering team has solved and package them into sellable solutions.
  • Go beyond established MNO use cases to identify and validate entirely new market verticals. You will take ownership of these new opportunities, driving the execution from the initial paper concept through to the first commercial pilot.
  • Define the long‑term architectural path for Skylo’s network. You will evaluate high‑stakes strategic trade‑offs and determine how these choices create unique value propositions for new customer segments.
  • Translate commercial objectives into clear engineering problems. You will define what success looks like for new services, moving beyond simple connectivity to define the end‑to‑end product experience, including SLAs, pricing models, and go‑to‑market packaging.
  • Close the loop between technical feasibility and market appetite. You will continuously validate R&D concepts with customers, ensuring we invest engineering resources only in the capabilities that have a clear path to revenue.
What We Look For
  • 15+ years of related experience across product management, wireless systems engineering, telco strategy, and M(V)
NO/Telco ecosystem engagements (or 12+ years with a Master’s degree).
  • Track record of transforming technical capabilities (e.g., Telco stacks) into sellable products. Ability to explain why a feature matters to a customer, not just how it works.
  • Experience making complex architectural bets. Ability to articulate the pros and cons of different network topologies and how they affect the end‑user service experience.
  • Expert‑level knowledge of the M(V)
NO end‑to‑end stack, roaming interfaces, 3

GPP, NTN, D2D, and the ability to apply this knowledge for strategic product definition.
  • Ability to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for network services and use that data to drive the next generation of product requirements.
What We Offer

Skylo is a proud equal‑opportunity employer dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce. Our worldwide and inclusive culture encourages a flexible approach to work, and we offer an attractive range of benefits such as:

  • Competitive compensation packages including a stock‑option based equity program
  • Monthly allowances for wellness and…
