At Wisk, we are transforming urban mobility by developing safe, all‑electric, autonomous eVTOL aircraft.

We invite an Electric Propulsion Motor Lead to drive the design, testing, and integration of high‑performance electric motor systems for our aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the leader of the Electric Propulsion Motor effort within the Propulsion Integrated Product Team.
  • Guide a team of engineers through concept, design, testing, and certification of advanced electric propulsion motors.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and problem‑solving support for thermal management, electromagnetic interference, and weight optimization challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with Powertrain, Battery, Avionics, and Flight Controls teams to ensure seamless system integration and optimal aircraft performance.
  • Define the technical roadmap, performance specifications, and certification strategies for electric motors.
  • Oversee testing, validation, and continuous improvement of motor designs.
Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 12 years’ experience in designing, developing, and testing high‑power electric motors.
  • Experience in the aerospace, electric‑vehicle automotive, or advanced air‑mobility industry.
  • Hands‑on experience integrating complex, safety‑critical electric propulsion systems and resolving associated thermal and electromagnetic issues.
  • Deep, applied knowledge of motor topologies, electromagnetic analysis, and aerospace thermal management.
  • Proven record of leading teams to successful motor qualification, product launches, or critical design reviews.
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification standards such as DO‑160, FAA Part
    23/27, and motor control algorithms.
  • Willingness to travel 10%–15% of the time.
