Nanodevice Measurement & Characterization
Looking for a solid measurement and characterization resource to join an early‑stage advanced technology program focused on the development and characterization of novel semiconductor and nanodevice technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work on breakthrough technologies with the potential to significantly improve performance, efficiency, and scalability across multiple industries. The selected candidate will contribute directly to device testing, measurement, analysis, and process improvement efforts while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists.
This is a hands‑on research and development opportunity where you will help advance emerging technologies from concept through experimental validation.
- Lead testing and characterization efforts for advanced semiconductor and nanodevice technologies.
- Design, develop, and optimize experimental measurement setups.
- Perform electrical characterization of devices at wafer level and packaged level.
- Analyze measurement data and identify opportunities for device and process improvements.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and technical findings.
- Present technical results and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, materials, and physics experts to solve complex technical challenges.
- Participate in technical seminars, knowledge‑sharing activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct precision measurements using:
- Manual and automated wafer probe stations.
- Low‑level voltage and current measurements.
- Four‑wire (Kelvin) measurement techniques.
- Thermoelectric offset compensation methods.
- Experience performing electrical measurements involving voltage, current, noise analysis, and measurement accuracy.
- Strong understanding of precision measurement techniques and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with signal‑to‑noise ratio (SNR) optimization through analog filtering and digital signal processing techniques.
- Experience with low‑noise measurement challenges including:
- Johnson noise.
- Shot noise.
- Thermoelectric effects.
- Photoelectric effects.
- Common‑mode and differential‑mode noise.
- Electromagnetic interference (EMI).
- Experience with semiconductor, MEMS, or nanofabrication processes, including:
- Photolithography.
- Spin coating.
- Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD).
- Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD).
- Reactive Ion Etching (RIE).
- Experience with metrology and inspection tools such as:
- Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM).
- Confocal microscopes.
- Ellipsometers.
- Programming experience in Python or similar languages for:
- Data analysis.
- Test automation.
- Experimental workflow development.
Estimated Min Rate: $40.00
Estimated Max Rate: $60.00/hr+ (Depends on work experience)
