Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Product Design Engineer to support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for cutting‑edge hardware products. This role requires strong expertise in CAD modeling, mechanical design principles, and hands‑on engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications- Proven experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies
, including: - Plastic parts
- Metal parts
- Mechanical assemblies
- Printed circuit boards (PCBs) and flex circuits
- Hands‑on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools
, such as: - NX
- Creo
- Solid Works
- Other 3D MCAD software
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for manufacturing
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and validation engineering
- Support prototype builds, testing, and design iterations
- Optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM), reliability, and cost efficiency
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into design improvements
- Experience working on consumer electronics or hardware products
- Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
- Knowledge of materials such as plastics, sheet metal, and machined components
- Exposure to tolerance analysis and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience supporting prototyping and product validation cycles
