I've partnered with a well funded ($630M) Series B AI startup building the silicon foundation for the transformer age - hardware designed from the ground up for large language models. By optimizing every element for performance per dollar, they make training and inference radically more efficient. Their mission is simple: make frontier-scale AI accessible to everyone.

Position —
Design Engineer with strong Haskell skills to help develop next-generation silicon for high-performance AI systems. No previous hardware design experience? No problem. If you're an experienced Haskell programmer, you'll be supported in learning the hardware side.

• Designing production hardware for compute, memory management, and high-speed connectivity
• Developing reusable, parameterised Bluespec libraries
• Exploring hardware architectures using the power of functional programming
• Building tooling to improve the speed, quality, and reliability of hardware development

• Strong Haskell experience, including monads, typeclasses, higher-order functions, and do-notation
• Enthusiasm for learning Bluespec Haskell (BH)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, version control, and CI/CD

• Salary ranging from $120K–$600K
  , depending on experience, plus equity
