Position OverviewSustainability Crew Member – Shoreline Amphitheatre
The role supports Live Nation’s resource recovery and circularity program, ensuring maximum landfill diversion during event waste sorting. The position works under the Venue Sustainability Manager as part of the venue operations team and is seasonal, part‑time with hours that vary by show schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in Sustainability Crew onboarding training.
- Assist with mid‑ and post‑show waste sorting of all recycling, composting, donations, and landfill materials.
- Be available on show days and non‑show days to ensure all waste is sorted and diverted.
- Support the Venue Sustainability Manager and Supervisor with educational outreach to all venue Crew Members and fans.
- Maintain a clean sorting area and help with post‑show pick‑up after events, including shifts that may occur days after a show.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the Venue Sustainability Manager on an as‑needed basis.
- Show days require about 90% of the time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs; 75% of that time is spent sorting materials.
- Comfortable working in dirty or odor‑prone environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather.
- Strong time‑management skills and willingness to work late hours.
- Dedication to participating in programs that have an immediate environmental impact.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
- Positive attitude, creative thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with events or zero‑waste initiatives is a plus.
