Overview
Bay Area Family Office seeks an Operations Associate to support the newly hired Head of Finance responsible for accounting, HR, and compliance, including GP & LP interests in a separate VC firm and operating company. The firm structure is complex and intricate with many investments and the Operations Associate needs to be a detailed person who can support the Head of Finance and provide white glove service to the principals’ and their families.
This will be a heavy investment operations focused role with the ability to take on more responsibilities, including accounting over time, but being a small family office this role will also own some administrative/general office duties as well.
The role will support day-to-day administrative, operational, and financial processes.
This role requires a flexible, nimble professional who can seamlessly shift between executive support, operations, and finance-related tasks. The position is critical to ensuring operational continuity, disciplined financial processes, and responsive support to the founders and leadership team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Support day-to-day administrative, operational, and financial processes.
- Download investor statements from various portals and upload them to tax portals.
- Work onsite 3–4 days per week.
- Help organize and create processes alongside the Head of Finance.
- Provide white-glove service to principals and their families as part of the operations support.
- Assist with future responsibilities including accounting over time and related tasks as the role expands.
- 3+ years’ experience in an operations or accounting role at an investment firm.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience at an investment firm on the operations side is required.
