Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager, US Tax to join Samsung Research America (SRA) collaborative and innovative tax team and play a critical role in domestic tax compliance, research, planning, and process improvement initiatives.

Position Responsibilities
  • Manage the in-house preparation and perform detailed review of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns, business tax filings, extensions, quarterly estimates, and supporting work papers – including preparing complex modeling work papers to support tax positions and forecasts
  • Manage tax audits and responses to inquiries from tax authorities including maintaining appropriate tax records to ensure audit readiness
  • Monitor and analyze changes in federal, state, and local tax law to ensure compliance with current laws and identify potential opportunities
  • Actively partner and collaborate with others within the tax organization and on cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Mentor and coach team members, providing technical training and guidance
  • Lead research, tax planning projects, and other ad hoc initiatives
  • Drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Tax related certificate preferred
  • 7+ years of corporate income tax experience at a public accounting firm and/or public multinational company – ideally including exposure to ASC
    740 provision work
  • Deep expertise in federal, state, and local corporate income taxation with desire to continue learning
  • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and concisely to tax and non‑tax professionals
  • Global company tax affairs experience required
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative and team‑building approach
  • Exceptional multitasker with initiative, upbeat demeanor, and ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word; SAP and/or One Source experience is a plus

The base pay range for roles at this level is listed below, but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training.

This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.

Base Pay Range

$141,600—$194,650 USD
