The Laboratory Technical Support Specialist (TSS) is a multi-skilled position that efficiently processes patient and specimen workflow to support the Laboratory's commitment to provide accurate, reliable, and timely information to clinicians. The TSS provides professional, courteous, and competent phlebotomy and/or clerical services for Hospital inpatients, outpatients, physicians, nursing staff, and support services.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three months phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, including venipuncture for all ages and neonatal capillary collection preferred.
- Computer
Experience:
Basic PC based knowledge required; experience with networked environments and medical-clinical applications preferred. - Available to work weekends on a rotational basis and holidays as needed.
- Available to work flexible hours (varied start times).
- May be scheduled to any ECH location/draw station depending on need.
- Available enterprise-wide and other shifts occasionally as needed for work assignments.
California Phlebotomy Certification (CPT
1)
$34.97 - $44.23 USD per hour
Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsMedium Work – Requires standing the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently. Work involves sitting, kneeling, climbing and squatting.
