Primavera P6 Consultant; Technical​/IT-Focused

Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Primavera P6 Consultant with both functional and technical depth, ideally coming from large IT service providers (Accenture, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, etc.). This role supports enterprise level project scheduling, data management, and system integration initiatives for a Google client engagement. The ideal candidate brings strong P6 functional expertise, a solid understanding of the Primavera P6 schema, and hands‑on experience collaborating within structured SDLC environments.

Experience from large global delivery organizations and fast‑paced IT environments is strongly preferred.

• Provide end‑to‑end functional support for Primavera P6: project setup, WBS creation, logic development, progress updates, baselining, and schedule maintenance
• Build and maintain CPM compliant, logic‑driven schedules with minimal constraints
• Support resource loading, cost loading, forecasting, and schedule performance analytics
• Troubleshoot schedule integrity, data issues, and P6 performance problems
• Use P6 database schema knowledge to support reporting, validation, and integration work
• Work with technical teams on API‑based integrations (SOAP/REST), including data mapping and transformation
• Lead or support requirements gathering and translate business needs into functional specifications
• Contribute to integration design documents, test cases, and SDLC documentation
• Support unit testing, system testing, and UAT cycles
• Ensure alignment with enterprise governance, standards, and best practices
• Provide documentation, training, and ongoing user support

• 10–15 years total experience preferred; 8+ years mandatory
• Strong functional expertise in Oracle Primavera P6
• Deep understanding of CPM scheduling, float analysis, progress measurement, baselines
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 database schema
• Experience operating in a structured SDLC environment
• Ability to develop functional specifications, design documents, and test cases
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise programs

• Experience with Primavera P6 APIs (SOAP/REST)
• Exposure to integrations with ERP, finance, or time‑tracking systems
• Basic SQL for reporting and data validation
• Client‑facing consulting experience
• Experience with in large IT service organizations strongly preferred
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, technology‑driven environments
