Linux Kernel System and Greenness SDET

Must have: A valid U.S. work authorization

We are seeking a highly driven engineer to own and maintain a
zero-failure Android kernel test environment
. This role is mission-critical to ensuring stability, speed, and reliability across Android Common Kernel testing infrastructure.

• Maintain and oversee internal pre-submit and post-submit systems
• Ensure continuous test execution across all Android Common Kernels

• Monitor dashboards to ensure all Trade Federation (TF) tests are running and enabled
• Prevent auto-disabling of tests
• Maintain a stable failure list with a goal of
  zero red status

• Perform bisection and root cause analysis
• Revert breaking changes or implement fixes to restore green builds

• Fine-tune pre-submit CTS (Compatibility Test Suite) and VTS (Vendor Test Suite)
• Improve coverage by enabling high-value tests
• Remove redundant or low-signal tests

• Work closely with Eng Prod and internal teams to resolve infra bottlenecks
• Escalate critical blockers to Technical Leads

• Strong proficiency in C++ and Java
• Hands-on experience with Bash scripting
• Solid understanding of automation workflows
• Experience with Linux Kernel (preferred)

• Continuous uptime
  – No gaps in testing unless pre-approved
• No branch left untested for more than 2 business days
• Critical fixes submitted within 1 business day
• Standard updates completed within 3 business days
• All issues updated daily
