Overview
Drivemode, a part of Honda, seeks a highly motivated Data Analytics leader to analyze vast datasets to uncover insights that drive product decisions, optimize operational efficiency, and elevate the user experience across mobile apps, in-car infotainment systems, and beyond. The role involves collaborating with product managers, engineers, designers, and Honda stakeholders to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions and propel Honda’s leadership in the EV and software-defined vehicle space.
WhatYou Do
- Analyze data and deliver actionable insights to create delightful and user-friendly mobile apps and in-car digital experiences globally
- Forge strong partnerships with data analysts and data engineers at Honda Japan headquarters, American Honda, and other regional offices. Collaboratively define key performance indicators (KPIs), contribute to building robust data infrastructure, implement data points, and enhance the overall data and analytics ecosystem
- Lead in developing and maintaining critical metrics and dashboards for the product team
- Collaborate with analysts and team members at both Drivemode and Honda to champion a data-driven culture and disseminate valuable insights
- Occasional travel to the Los Angeles area and Tokyo, Japan (5%-10%) may be required
- 7+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst/Scientist, data-driven Product Manager, or similar role, with a track record of optimizing consumer-facing products, particularly mobile apps. Experience in both large corporations and startups is highly preferred
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders; combines strategic thinking with user-centric mindset
- Deep expertise in SQL, Python, and/or R, and proficiency in analytics tools such as Amplitude, Datadog, Tableau, Power BI, and Firebase
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies, statistical modeling techniques, and machine learning applications is a significant advantage
- Experience in data modeling, data engineering, and ETL to collaborate with data lake/ data warehouse teams
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degrees preferred) in data science, computer science, statistics, or engineering
- People management experience is not required but preferred
- Fluency in Japanese and work experience with Japanese corporations are big pluses
