Job Description Summary

The HALO team seeks AI Linguists to focus on AI quality, evaluation, and annotation. The role involves contributing expertise to the annotation/human judgment pipeline development, which forms the foundation for Client AI model development and improvement. The team leverages large data volumes and machine learning to impact personalized content recommendation and ad relevance.

Location: Mountain View, CA (On‑site/Remote Hybrid)

8:30 am PST - 5:30 pm PST

• Design and execute solutions for AI quality, evaluation, and annotation.
• Leverage Generative AI prompting, human input, and hybrid approaches to develop scalable human judgment workflows.
• Conduct data-driven analysis and provide linguistic insights for project development.
• Participate in working groups to develop high-quality human judgment, annotation, and evaluation pipelines.
• Create documentation and guidelines for standard internal procedures.
• Research new methodologies for process and product improvement.
• Maximize productivity and quality through streamlined workflows and process standardization.

• B.S. / B.A. Degree in Computational Linguistics, Language Technologies, Linguistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 2+ years of experience with large-scale, end-to-end human judgment flows and tools for training/evaluating AI models.
• 2+ years of experience breaking down linguistic data requirements into concise, clear instructions and designs.
• 1+ years of experience programming in Python or other scripting languages.

• MS or Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics, Language Technologies, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Willingness to learn technical concepts and new tools with a keen interest in technology.
• Experience with human judgment projects, complex scalable data annotations, and evaluations.
• Experience with programming languages in the data annotation space.
• Excellent comprehension and written communication skills in English.
