Highspring is hiring a Part‑Time IT Support Specialist for a 3‑month contract to support our client. You’ll be responsible for managing IT operations, providing employee support, and ensuring secure, efficient systems. This role requires being onsite in Mountain View, CA for 8‑hour shifts 3-4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities- Identity & Access Management:
Administer Okta, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace accounts; manage onboarding and offboarding workflows. - Device & Endpoint Management:
Manage Apple devices via Jamf MDM and configure VPN access. - Collaboration Tools:
Administer Git Hub repositories and user permissions. - IT Operations & Support:
Respond to IT Jira tickets, provide onsite and remote IT support, and ensure security compliance. - Office Networking & Security:
Configure and maintain Wi‑Fi, switches, and firewalls; implement endpoint protection, monitor security, and manage system patching.
- 3+ years of IT support or system administration experience.
- Proficiency with Okta, Jamf MDM, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.
- Experience managing VPNs, Git Hub administration, and office network infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proper phone etiquette and effective listening skills.
- Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately with demonstrated proficiency in typing and grammar.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices (ITIL training a plus).
- Medical/clinical terminology is preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Experience supporting software computer applications and equipment from a remote helpdesk environment.
- Experience with mobile device support (iPhone and Android).
- Must be a team player and build good working relationships across all functions of the company.
- Must have a strong personal drive for delivering great customer service, and thrive in a fast-paced, high energy environment with a proactive focus.
- Experience maintaining, and troubleshooting all versions of Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Need to be flexible, adaptable, and possess creative problem-solving skills.
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: [$40 - $50/hr].
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
