Job Overview
The Hardware Support Technician II provides procurement, inventory management, asset management, distribution, and logistics services for pre‑market consumer electronics across the globe. The role also provides technical assistance to ensure the products are shipped with the right image. The person in this role works with cutting‑edge technology and pre‑market consumer electronics. Scope:
Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues and requires some instruction on new assignments and infrequent checks on daily work.
- Participate with inventory and asset management including receipt and disposition of hardware.
- Document all defects of pre‑mass production hardware and/or software.
- Perform hardware reworks (e.g., swapping out boards/chips, removing write‑protect screws, etc.).
- Perform software reworks (e.g., imaging devices to different builds, wiping data, rewriting system hardware IDs, etc.).
- Conduct servo flashing, firmware upgrade, flashing unsigned images.
- Resolve support tickets on device issues.
- Provide technical support during events (travel often required).
- Other duties as required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training.
- IT savvy and interested in new technologies.
- Knowledgeable about inventory and comfortable in an IT inventory environment.
- Capable of following technical instructions to flash drives, image devices and rewrite hardware IDs.
- Excellent communicator in both written and verbal English.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to excel in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Ability to learn new things and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
- Strong organization skills, and able to identify the steps to be taken to achieve objectives.
- Data experience.

- Must have the ability to perform office‑related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing.
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment.
- Must be able to use a computer.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
- Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Salary Range: $19.22 - $30.35 USD (Hourly). Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance‑based bonuses, benefits‑related payments, or other general incentives – none of which are guaranteed.
