Job Description & How to Apply Below
Our client is engaging a Staff Product Designer on a contract basis to support active design work streams within our Sales Tech organization. This engagement focuses on shaping the technology that powers Intuit's sales organization so that sellers spend less time in tools and more time with prospects and customers. The contractor will partner with an existing cross-functional pod to lead design work across a complicated seller workflow, shaping strategy within a defined roadmap informed by the voice of the seller.
The ideal contractor brings deep expertise in distilling complex enterprise problems into clear, elegant experiences, can ramp quickly into an established design process, and is comfortable driving decisions in ambiguity, integrating high volumes of feedback, and influencing senior cross-functional partners through narrative and rationale.
Scope of work:
* Lead end-to-end design for an assigned seller workflow domain, owning the experience across its full lifecycle from journey maps and interaction models through high-fidelity UI
* Ensuring consistency of patterns, flows, and mental models within the domain
* Shape strategy within the existing roadmap by reframing ambiguous problems, surfacing trade-offs, and driving "go/no-go" decisions in partnership with the assigned PM and Data Analyst
* Drive the strategic application of AI and automation to standardize seller activities, reduce manual work, and elevate the seller experience beyond standard patterns
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
* 7+ years of experience in product design, interaction design, or UX design
* A compelling portfolio demonstrating expert-level craft across complex, technology-driven domains, with clear evidence of distilling complicated use cases into simple, elegant experiences and evolving visual systems beyond established patterns
* Proven success leading design across a complicated domain, from strategy and scoping through execution, in close collaboration with cross-functional partners
* Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity, reframing problems, integrating high volumes of feedback, and driving resolution of dependencies
* Advanced proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
* Expertise in applying user-centered design (UCD) processes and systems thinking across web and mobile platforms
* Demonstrated experience designing AI-powered features and integrating AI fluently into the design process itself (e.g., prompting, GenAI-assisted ideation, AI-assisted prototyping)
* Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to gain agreement from senior partners by creating narratives that build shared understanding
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience designing for enterprise software, B2B environments, or internal tools, with a preference for experience in sales or SaaS environments
* Experience designing for the Salesforce platform or for products that integrate with it
* Familiarity with enterprise design systems, such as Salesforce Lightning
* Experience designing for data-heavy applications
