As a Staff Technical Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming our organization through the power of data and AI. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a scalable AI‑ready data foundation and AI capabilities that provide deeper insights across company‑level data sets and dashboards to the executive leaders.

You’ll partner closely with data engineers, software engineers, product managers and architects to mature data and AI capabilities for Intuit Business Operations.

In this position, you will develop a deep understanding of business challenges, performing company‑level analyses, developing executive dashboards and building AI capabilities for faster insights generation and proactive business anomaly notifications to enable effective decision‑making and problem‑solving. This role presents a unique combination of business operations, data analytics, and AI, requiring someone who is a fast learner, highly analytical, strategic, and an excellent communicator.

This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, leads independently, and builds systems that scale across teams and business units.

We are looking for a strategic problem‑solver with a track record of using data and AI to deliver successful business outcomes. The ideal candidate can independently manage their own data, identify and measure business and growth drivers, establish data governance and quality processes and contribute towards building a scalable data foundation, build compelling visualizations and AI‑assisted insights generation to a broader audience.

Responsibilities
  • Build data, dashboards and AI capabilities in partnership with Engineering teams that accelerate data and trends analysis, generation of insights, enable driver analysis and support decision‑making.
  • Understand business requirements, perform data discovery and build analytics solutions (data pipelines, AI‑ready data models and dashboards) aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and track key metrics and KPIs to monitor business performance and contribute to a data‑driven culture.
  • Create and implement data‑driven strategies and operational processes to optimize business growth and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and address business challenges using data analysis and strategic problem‑solving.
  • Independently manage workload and pursue opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of combined post‑graduate academic and industry experience applying quantitative and scientific methods to solve real‑world business problems.
  • Proven ability to analyze large, complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau, Quick Sight), and scripting languages (Python, R) with a strong track record of building scalable, production‑ready, reproducible workflows.
  • Hands‑on experience using AI‑native tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Cowork, or equivalent) to accelerate data workflows, pipeline development, analysis and insights generation.
  • Basic front‑end development skills (JavaScript, React) are good to have.
  • Strong data storytelling skills, with the ability to construct impactful visualizations, communicate insights, and influence leadership.
  • A proactive and results‑oriented individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable with ambiguity.
