Responsibilities
The Principal Product Manager, Mailchimp Growth will own the end-to-end growth funnel across sign up, trial, pricing, packaging, and paid conversion. This leader will identify the highest-leverage opportunities to improve customer acquisition efficiency, increase trial-to-paid conversion, and accelerate customer activation.
Key areas of ownership include:
- Converting customers from prospects to sign ups
- Trial-to-paid conversion and subscription optimization
- Pricing and packaging experimentation
- Growth experimentation platform and testing strategy
- Early lifecycle engagement and activation
- Feature discovery and expansion into higher-value plans
This is a high-impact role requiring both strategic vision and strong execution. The PM will partner across product, design, engineering, marketing, and data science teams to transform acquisition at Mailchimp.
Qualifications DesiredSkills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product management, which includes experience implementing AI solutions
- Experience owning the growth scorecard: including trial starts, activation, trial-to-paid conversion, paid retention, expansion, ARPU, and customer lifetime value for a B2B SaaS business. Built measurement frameworks that connect product investments directly to business outcomes.
- Strong analytical mindset. Ideal candidate will have past experience in a Growth Analyst or Data Science role. Demonstrated ability to leverage behavioral data, customer research, and experimentation to inform product decisions.
- Experience partnering closely with Finance, Marketing, Analytics, and Sales to continuously evolve commercial strategy.
- High degree of technical understanding to be able to closely collaborate with engineers, architects, and AI/ML practitioners in both strategic and tactical discussions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences and work with cross-functional teams to drive real business impact.
- Experience leading and raising the bar of product management teams.
