Role SummaryAs a Senior Manager and Salesforce Life Sciences Functional Architect, you will guide large, complex programs at the strategic and executive layers, owning the overall solution vision and mentoring a team of architects. You will translate strategic intent into architectural direction, support design reviews, and act as the primary solution escalation point.
Key Responsibilities- Own the overall solution architecture vision for large-scale Salesforce Life Sciences programs, ensuring coherence across functional design, technical implementation, data strategy, and integration.
- Serve as the senior liaison between business leadership and technical delivery teams, translating strategic intent into architecture direction.
- Lead architecture governance, setting standards, conducting design reviews, and making binding decisions on platform direction.
- Act as the primary solution escalation point, resolving cross-workstream design conflicts and aligning stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating complex architecture concepts into business impact narratives.
- Guide and mentor Manager-level Solution Architects, senior functional leads, and tech leads, actively developing the next generation of SA talent.
- Partner with coalition teams, Salesforce product teams, and vendors to shape solution approach and leverage latest platform capabilities.
- Lead solution design contributions during pursuit phases, including architecture sections of RFP responses and client demonstrations.
- Drive practice development through reusable assets, architecture blueprints, and industry-specific point-of-view content.
- Manage solution risk at the program level by identifying systemic architectural risks early and mitigating them with delivery leadership.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive Salesforce delivery experience with demonstrated tenure in solution architecture or senior platform leadership roles.
- Experience architecting and delivering multiple large-scale, complex Salesforce programs in Life Sciences or a regulated sector (Med Tech, Payer, Provider).
- Experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, or equivalent pharma/biotech CRM platforms.
- Strong experience leading delivery using Agile or scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, multi-team Scrum) at program scale.
- Experience leveraging AI/ML capabilities such as Salesforce Einstein or generative AI tools within Life Sciences commercial solutions.
- Experience supporting Life Sciences clients or the industry at a senior delivery or advisory level.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years of work experience).
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA designation.
- Functional and technical hybrid background enabling end-to-end solution design.
- Deep integration architecture experience (Mule Soft, event‑driven architectures, enterprise API strategy).
- Experience with commercial transformation programs in pharma/biotech (HCP engagement, field force, patient services).
- Pre‑sales leadership and executive-level solution presentation experience.
- Relationship management at Director or VP level with Life Sciences clients.
- Experience building high‑performing, geographically distributed delivery teams at Senior Manager level or above.
