Data Scientist III

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Scientist III to join their team in Mountain View, CA.

Summary:

We are seeking a Data Science contractor to support the client's efforts in growing our Assisted Services business focusing on Product initiatives. This role will be instrumental in enhancing our top-of-funnel growth strategies, including expert-centric local presence, SEO, paid local search, referrals (from customers and retiring professionals), targeted campaigns, and offers for high-priority customer cohorts.

The work centers around building robust data pipelines, crafting powerful dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy to drive awareness, consideration, and traffic across the client's ecosystem. These insights will empower decision-making across Product and Marketing organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and build end-to-end data pipelines to support data collection, transformation (ETL), and loading

* Maintain and optimize data infrastructure with a focus on reliability, scalability, and timely issue resolution

* Develop dashboards in Tableau and Qlik to visualize key metrics and democratize insights across partner teams

* Work with internal stakeholders to identify critical business questions and deliver data products that enable actionable insights

* Ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability for both internal use and partner teams

* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and track growth metrics and KPIs

* If time permits, perform ad-hoc analyses to evaluate A/B tests, inform product and marketing experiments, and support growth strategies

* Stay proactive in identifying data sources, understanding schema, and independently driving task completion

REQUIREMENTS:

* Proven experience with Tableau dashboard development;
Qlik Sense experience is a strong plus

* Strong expertise in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and pipeline development

* Comfortable working with large datasets and performing thorough data cleaning and preparation

* Exceptional communication skills, able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences

* Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and quantitative reasoning

* Organized, with an ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables on time

* Ability to define and instrument tracking for key metrics

* Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, R) is a plus but not required

* Background in product analytics or conversion funnel optimization a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
