We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Inventory Control Specialist to organize and establish the parts and inventory operation within a prototype engineering lab in Mountain View.

This role is ideal for someone who has previouslyset up, reorganized, or significantly improved a stockroom, parts room, or inventory systemwithin an engineering, manufacturing, or hardware environment.

You will be responsible for creating a practical system for organizing and tracking parts used by engineers for prototype builds — and then implementing that system yourself.

This is ahands-on individual contributor role, not a warehouse management position.

• Assess the existing inventory of parts, components, and materials
• Organize and establish an efficient parts and stockroom system
• Sort, categorize, count, and store physical inventory
• Set up and label bins, shelves, racks, and storage locations
• Establish a clear system for identifying and locating parts
• Receive incoming parts and materials and ensure they are properly recorded and stored
• Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations
• Track inventory as parts are received, stored, and used
• Create straightforward inventory processes that can be maintained by the team
• Work closely with engineers to ensure parts required for prototype builds can be located quickly
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and organizational issues

• Previous experience in inventory control, stockroom operations, parts management, or materials coordination
• Demonstrated experience setting up, reorganizing, or improving a parts room, stockroom, or inventory system
• Experience working with physical parts and components in an engineering, manufacturing, or similar environment
• Comfortable working hands-on — sorting parts, labeling bins, organizing shelves, counting inventory, and receiving deliveries
• Experience using inventory management systems, ERP/MRP tools, spreadsheets, or similar tracking systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, identify what needs to be done, and establish an effective process
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Mountain View, CA

Experience specifically within the energy industry isnot required.

This is a short-term project supporting an innovative energy technology company developing next-generation power systems.

The engineering team is actively building prototypes and needs an experienced inventory professional to bring structure and organization to the parts and materials supporting those builds.

The immediate objective is simple:create an organized, reliable inventory operation where parts are properly received, labeled, stored, tracked, and easy for the engineering team to find.

The assignment is expected to last approximately1–3 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements.

This position requires full-time onsite attendance in Mountain View, Monday through Friday.
