Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Compliance
Intuit's mission is to power prosperity, and a foundational element of that prosperity is Trust. We are seeking a Group Product Manager to lead the Emerging Products Risk team. This role is the launch engine of our Fintech Risk strategy, responsible for taking net-new financial products from concept through a compliant, successful launch, protecting customers and the business from day one without slowing the pace of innovation.
In this role, you will lead a team of product managers who design and ship the risk foundation for every emerging fintech product targeted to SMBs and Consumers. Your scope covers the full launch lifecycle: risk design, decisioning and controls build, experiences, and launch monitoring. You will balance a Risk mindset with a builder's bias for speed, standing up right-sized risk controls that let new products win in market without exposing Intuit to outsized loss.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Vision & Execution
Own the launch portfolio end-to-end: develop and execute a risk roadmap that gets every new product, market, geo, and capability to a compliant, on‑time launch. You own the balance between speed to market and launch‑period loss, not just one side of it.
Domain Leadership: drive 0-to-1 risk product strategy for SMB and Consumer fintech products, defining the right‑sized risk stack for each launch. Leverage AI/ML, ecosystem data, and third party data to stand up automated, real‑time decisioning for products with no history and thin data.
Launch Risk Discipline: ensure risk controls are live by GA for every launch and launch‑period loss stays within the forecast band.
Operational Health: monitor and report on time‑to‑first‑risk‑control, decisioning insult and miss rates at launch, identity/fraud pass rates, experience metrics, and launch‑loss variance to forecast.
People Leadership & Talent Development
Team Growth: lead, coach, hire, and inspire a team of Risk Product Managers. You will be responsible for their career development, technical growth, and ability to deliver high‑impact results in ambiguous, fast‑moving launch environments.
Culture of Excellence: foster a collaborative environment that values ownership, clarity, data‑driven decision‑making, and deep customer empathy.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Influence Leadership: act as the primary voice for emerging product risk to senior leadership and to the business unit teams shipping these products. You must be able to articulate launch risk/reward trade‑offs (what ships at GA, what follows fast, what blocks) and gain buy‑in for go/no‑go calls.
Cross‑Functional Partnership: work seamlessly with Design, Engineering, Risk Policy, Ops, AI Scientists, and Legal/Compliance, plus external partners and vendors, to ensure new products launch with risk controls that are both effective and invisible to good customers.
Experience:
12+ years of Product Management experience, with a proven track record launching 0-to-1 products in Risk or high‑growth Fintech services.Proven People Leader:
At least 6+ years of experience managing and developing other Product Managers. You have a reputation for building strong team cultures and developing talent.Deep technical understanding of Risk:
Fraud prevention and mitigation for thin‑data environments including ATO, first‑party fraud, and vendor/bureau strategies when little product history exists
Consumer credit and lending risk including underwriting new lending products and managing launch‑period loss forecasts
Launch enablement including KYC/KYB, AML, identity verification, and compliance‑by‑design for new products, markets, and geographies
Decisioning platforms: real‑time decisioning, rules/policy engines, and the data infrastructure to stand up controls for a product that does not exist yet.
You know how to leverage AI tools to accelerate development work and risk decisions.
Exceptional Communication:
You are a master can translate technical risk concepts into compelling business narratives for executive audiences and the growth teams whose launches depend on you.Builder's Mindset:
You thrive in ambiguity. You know how to scope a v1 risk stack that is right‑sized for…
