About the role
As a Production Associate, you’ll participate in the build out and ramp up of Matic’s early production facilities based in Mountain View, California. This is a 6‑month contract role directly with Matic Robots, running from August 3, 2026 through January 30, 2027, based out of our Mountain View, CA office. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, assembling components and systems for various products.
The job will require assembly, repair and critical subassembly work and quality control, while working closely with team members from our hardware, software, and product teams.
Assemble components and systems using various hand tools and equipment on the production line.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure quality and accuracy.
Operate complex manufacturing equipment, follow safety guidelines and procedures, and demonstrate professionalism.
Ensure timely completion of production tasks while meeting quality and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Analyze failed inventory for root cause and perform rework procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve production throughput, reduce scrap or improve safety and quality of life.
Design fixtures, equipment and processes if needed to implement such improvements.
Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve production‑related roadblocks.
Formal prior experience in production is not required; experience in engineering and design will be advantageous.
Hands‑on ability to build electro‑mechanical assemblies.
Quick learner, adaptable to changing priorities, and effective communicator.
Strong work ethic and team‑oriented attitude.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, maintain high standards of work, and exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills with teammates.
Open to schedule flexibility, willingness to maintain a safe and collaborative work environment, and ability to work quickly with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills, adapt to new work environments, and comfortably learn new technology.
Contract duration:
August 3, 2026 to January 30, 2027.Open to schedule flexibility and willingness to work in shifts as needed.
Shift timings:Morning: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Evening: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Salary Offered: $26.20/hour
Actual Compensation will depend on skills, experience and qualifications. Base Salary is one part of the total compensation package.
