Manufacturing Technician – R&D Production

The Micro Fill Technician plays a key role in supporting physical manufacturing, material logistics, and procedural controls on the Micro Fill development production line. Micro Fill is an agile, risk-scaled R&D manufacturing environment rather than a commercial production facility.

This role combines hands‑on assembly, liquid filling, packaging operations, material accountability, inventory reconciliation, line clearance, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, quality‑focused, safety‑conscious, and comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.

• Assist with setup, startup, and manual/semi‑automated production activities across the 13‑station Collector Subassembly (CSA) manufacturing line

• Operate and monitor automated pod‑filling equipment to fill, assemble, and seal vapor cartridges.
• Set up and operate packaging equipment for:
• Blister Tray Sealing
• Flow Wrap Pouching
• Perform and document required First Article Inspections (FAIs).
• Operate leak‑testing equipment as part of packaging and quality inspection activities.
• Follow approved procedures, work instructions, assembly flow diagrams, and manufacturing drawings.

• Perform receiving and verification activities for incoming materials.
• Verify quantities, inspect container integrity, and document receiving information in the tracking database.
• Segregate incoming materials and apply appropriate material status labels.
• Maintain accurate material identification and accountability throughout the manufacturing process.

• Perform thorough line clearance before and after each R&D production run.
• Maintain strict material segregation to prevent cross‑contamination and product/component mix‑ups.
• Conduct end‑of‑run physical counts of active, scrapped, and rejected components.
• Document material reconciliation accurately in applicable batch records.
• Maintain compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and established procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, laboratory, cleanroom, or a similar production environment strongly preferred.
• Experience working with small or precision components is a plus.
• Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, assembly diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to accurately document production activities and maintain material accountability.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow established processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced R&D manufacturing environment.
• Must successfully complete all required training and demonstrate competency before independently operating any production station.
