This is a full-time, non-exempt level position in Mountain View, California.
HYBRID WORK SCHEDULESVCF operates on a hybrid work model. All teams are expected to work in the office twice a week, every other week. In-office days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Please note that there may be times when meetings, events, or other organizational priorities require you to be in the office more frequently than this standard schedule. This structure is designed to support equity, collaboration and consistency while still maintaining flexibility in how we work.
SVCF also reserves the right to modify its hybrid work schedule as needed.
All SVCF team members must be based and hold residency in California.
JOB SUMMARYReporting to the Director, Gift Planning, the Philanthropic Partnerships Associate supports the Philanthropic Partnerships Division comprised of the Donor Engagement, Development, and Corporate Responsibility departments. While supporting work across the division, the role will be embedded in the Development team, and will primarily support development-related priorities.
This position serves as a frontline contact for transactional matters involving prospective donors, current fund holders, corporate partners, and key professional advisors. It also serves as a key resource for database management across the division. This role supports the advising, coordination, and execution of a broad range of charitable giving and donor engagement activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Team Support- Provide administrative support to the team, including assisting with new fund openings and related case follow-up; coordinating Lunch and Learns and off-site visits with professional advisors; and maintaining current professional advisor contacts and development lead lists.
- Provide frontline support by email and phone to prospective donors, current donors and clients, and professional advisors. Respond to or route inquiries to the appropriate staff, share relevant marketing materials, log new development proposals in Salesforce, and update existing proposals with related correspondence.
- Provide support for grant entries and recommendations, donor mailing lists, physical mail inbox, and physical mailings, including fund statements and inactive fund outreach.
- Assist with managing donor engagement cases and preparing weekly and monthly fund reports.
- Conduct research on prospective donors and key professional advisors, developing concise summaries and profiles as requested.
- Provide support for digitization projects, including fund folders.
- Serve as key team resource for SVCF’s donor/client databases and donor/client portal.
- Provide regular and as-needed database reports and analyses.
- Assist with creating and maintaining dashboards that report outcomes and track progress across the division. Support staff with software platforms (e.g., iWave, Kindsight, Red Pepper, and Power BI), coordinating with other departments and outside consultants as needed.
