Registered Nurse , Orthopedic Surgery

• Provide direct and indirect patient care to orthopedic surgery clinic patients and their families
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop and implement nursing care plans and provide patient education
• Conduct ongoing evaluation of patient care
• Deliver holistic, individualized care to patients in the assigned area
• Develop, implement, and coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Foster collaborative relationships among patients, families/support groups, physicians, and healthcare providers
• Communicate timely and effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other providers
• Follow policies, industry standards, best practices, applicable laws, regulations, and codes
• Promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience
• Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• RN-Registered Nurse of California upon hire
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• Demonstrated general knowledge and competence regarding nursing theories, concepts, and practices
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, patient-care best practices, privacy, and applicable regulations
• Written and verbal communication skills for explaining sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Outlook, and Electronic Health Record systems
• Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while handling multiple tasks and interruptions
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established options
• Ability to protect patients’ protected health information (PHI)
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers

Demonstrates expertise in patient care, including comprehensive assessments, individualized care plans, and effective communication with patients and healthcare teams. Proficient in nursing practices, medical terminology, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
