Overview

Pay $28-30; 6 month+ possible temp to direct hire. Able to use calipers and micrometers and coordinate measurement. Medical device company in Mountain View seeking an entry-level Quality Inspector to support quality inspection activities for medical device components and surgical instruments. This role is quality-focused and ideal for candidates interested in building a career in Quality Assurance within the medical device industry.

The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring products meet engineering and quality requirements before release to manufacturing or customers. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of medical device components and surgical instruments
  • Interpret and inspect to CAD drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, and height gages
  • Verify parts meet defined acceptance criteria and quality requirements
  • Accurately document inspection results, measurements, and acceptance status in paper or electronic quality records
  • Scan and file documents to retain digital copies of LHRs
  • Identify, segregate, and clearly document nonconforming material
  • Communicate inspection results and quality issues to Manufacturing and Quality Engineering
  • Support first article inspections and quality review activities
  • Maintain proper handling, labeling, and traceability of inspected materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and follow all quality and safety procedures
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 2-3 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a related role
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and basic tolerances
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
  • Strong computer skills for documentation and data entry
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
