Thermal Test Technician
Looking for a Thermal Test Technician to support consumer electronics testing within a hardware R&D laboratory environment. This individual will work closely with Thermal Test Engineers to execute end-to-end thermal testing activities, including thermocouple installation, test setup, workload execution, data collection, and post-processing. The ideal candidate will be comfortable following detailed test procedures, working with laboratory equipment, and documenting test results.

• Support Thermal Test Engineers with thermal characterization and validation activities.
• Prepare devices for testing, including thermocouple attachment and prototype assembly/disassembly.
• Set up and execute thermal tests following established test procedures and SOPs.
• Monitor test execution and collect thermal performance data.
• Post-process test results and assist with reporting activities.
• Document testing activities, observations, and results.
• Support testing across multiple laboratory environments as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.
• Assist with general lab operations and equipment readiness.

• Ability to perform fine motor tasks including prototype assembly/disassembly and thermocouple installation.
• Ability to understand, follow, and execute test procedures and SOPs.
• Comfortable working in multiple testing environments and adapting to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work semi-autonomously after training.
• Ability to accept feedback and continuously improve testing execution.

• Experience performing thermal testing within a consumer electronics or hardware R&D laboratory environment.
• Experience using thermal chambers, thermocouples, thermal measurement equipment, power supplies, and related test instrumentation.
• Experience setting up instrumentation and collecting data for reporting and analysis.
• Ability to work across multiple lab environments including thermal, electrical, mechanical, and RF labs.
• Familiarity with command-line tools such as ADB, Python scripts, and Linux shell commands.
• Experience modifying or executing automated test scripts.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and housekeeping practices.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace tools including Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Meet, including formulas and cross-references.

Estimated Minimum Rate: $35.00
Estimated Maximum Rate: $40.00/hr+. Depends on work experience.
