QA/QC Manager (Contract) – Hyperscale Data Center Projects Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to support the delivery of Hyperscale Data Center construction projects. The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing quality assurance and quality control processes throughout all phases of construction, ensuring compliance with project specifications, Hyperscale quality standards, industry best practices, and contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in mission-critical facilities, hyperscale data centers, or large-scale industrial construction projects, with a proven ability to lead quality programs, coordinate inspections, manage documentation, and drive continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management Leadership:
  • Develop, implement, and manage the project Quality Management Plan (QMP).
  • Establish project-specific QA/QC procedures, inspection protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • Promote a culture of quality excellence across project teams and trade partners.
  • Ensure construction activities meet Google quality standards, project specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
Quality Assurance:
  • Review construction methodologies, work plans, and inspection test plans (ITPs) to verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct audits of contractor quality programs, procedures, and records.
  • Monitor implementation of quality processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Verify that quality requirements are incorporated into project execution plans and field operations.
Quality Control & Inspections:
  • Lead and oversee site inspections across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems.
  • Coordinate inspection activities with contractors, consultants, commissioning teams, and Hyperscalestakeholders.
  • Verify installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Monitor completion and closeout of punch list items and quality deficiencies.
Non-Conformance Management:
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), quality observations, and corrective action processes.
  • Investigate quality issues and facilitate root cause analysis.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions through closure.
  • Ensure lessons learned are documented and communicated across project teams.
Documentation & Turnover:
  • Oversee quality documentation including inspection reports, testing records, certifications, and turnover packages.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of quality records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support system turnover, commissioning readiness reviews, and final project handover.
  • Verify as-built documentation and quality deliverables meet project requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Act as the primary quality representative between Hyperscaleproject teams, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Participate in quality meetings, progress reviews, and project coordination sessions.
  • Provide regular updates on quality performance, risks, trends, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with construction management, commissioning, and operations teams.
Reporting & Metrics:
  • Track and report project quality KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports.
  • Analyze recurring quality trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain quality dashboards and project reporting tools.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of QA/QC experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection processes, and construction quality standards.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary inspections across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, industry standards, and construction best practices.
