• Collaborate on innovative research projects aimed at solving large-scale, real-world problems.
• Support the development of solutions that contribute to scientific and technological advancement.
• Engage in exploratory work across various domains, including computing, artificial intelligence, and sustainability.

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrable practical experience in at least one specialized area of computer science (e.g., Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Software Engineering).
• Ability to be physically located in a designated country for the entire duration of the internship engagement.

• Current enrollment in a full-time degree program within the EMEA region with plans to return to studies after the internship.
• Prior research experience, such as internships, work in a lab, or full-time research roles.
• A record of contribution to research communities, such as publishing papers in major conferences or journals.
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java, Go, MATLAB).

• Internship placements vary in both duration and geographic location based on project and team needs.
• Candidates may be considered for research roles across various Google teams, including Google Deep Mind and Google Research.
