Research Intern:
Robust Planning - Honda Research Institute USA
Honda Research Institute USA (HRI-US) is seeking a research engineer to develop and implement a novel planning framework. This position requires understanding state-of-the-art planning algorithms and improving their performance under heavy noise and occlusions.
Mountain View, CA
Key Responsibilities
- Research existing state-of-the-art algorithms for robust planning under occlusion.
- Develop a real-time motion planner that can safely and smoothly operate under heavy noise and occlusion.
Research and model perception noise.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.S. in Robotics or related field.
- Experience with MPC, planning under uncertainty.
- Experience running real-time algorithms on robotic systems or other physical hardware.
Bonus Qualifications
- Ph.D candidate in Robotics or related field
- Experience with Meta Drive, Waymo Open Motion Dataset,or Driving Data
