Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
Compensation
Pay Range: $19.85 - $27.40 per hour.
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Premiums may be paid in hourly amounts in specific circumstances and may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Responsibilities- Follow and promote all company customer service programs (e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot).
- Promptly greet retail and walk‑in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as directed.
- Complete all assigned company training relevant to the position.
- Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls per company policy, accurately looking up parts and quote prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low‑Price Guarantee.
- Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accepting cash and/or checks, accurately making change, and processing credit card transactions.
- Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
- Assist with the completion of daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc.
- Perform daily operational tasks such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns to be shipped to the distribution center; assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
- Operate a brake lathe and other store test equipment after receiving the required training and meeting company requirements.
- Perform in‑store services for customers (where state and local laws allow), such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, testing charging systems, scanning vehicle trouble codes, replacing headlight capsules, etc.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate (driving record must meet company mandated eligibility requirements).
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
- Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
- Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
- Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, the Wíerly Index system, and automotive sales or service.
- ASE certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
