About this positionThought Spot is launching a new agentic product line—adjacent to our core Agentic Analytics platform—and we are hiring our very first, founding seller for this business. This role was initiated directly by our CEO and will report into the Head of Global Strategy. The position is designed to grow: the person who lands it will ideally build, lead, and scale the GTM team for this line of business over time.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for a net‑new product line—from identifying the right ICP to close.
- Develop the foundational GTM playbook: messaging, discovery methodology, competitive positioning, and deal strategy.
- Engage directly with C‑level and VP‑level buyers at enterprise accounts, translating agentic AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
- Run effective discovery and demos—frequently without an SE present—so you can lead the technical narrative with deep product knowledge.
- Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and the CEO to shape go‑to‑market based on field learnings.
- Lay the groundwork to hire and lead a team as this product line scales.
Must‑haves
- Deep, genuine fluency in agentic AI—you can speak credibly about workflows, orchestration, and automation with technical buyers and business stakeholders alike.
- A proven track record selling enterprise software, with experience navigating complex, multi‑stakeholder deals.
- Outcome‑oriented sales approach—you sell business impact (cost reduction, headcount efficiency, process acceleration), not features and functions.
- Builder mentality—you have created sales processes, messaging frameworks, or playbooks from scratch, not just executed on existing ones.
- High tolerance for ambiguity—you’re energized, not stressed, by new product categories.
- Evangelist energy—you make prospects feel they’re getting in early on something important, because they are.
Nice‑to‑haves
- Experience selling analytics, AI/ML, or data platform products.
- Prior experience as a founding or first‑hire seller at a startup or new product line.
- Bay Area based with ability to work regularly from our Mountain View office.
