Catering Sales Manager OEM

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue, market visibility, and guest satisfaction across social, wedding, and corporate catering-only business at the hotel. This role manages the entire sales and event lifecycle—from inquiry through execution—for a wide range of programs including social celebrations, weddings, and standalone corporate catering events not associated with group room blocks. This position is highly revenue-driven, detail-oriented, and operationally engaged, requiring strong sales acumen, consultative selling skills, and the ability to both sell and fully detail events to ensure seamless execution aligned with The Ameswell brand standards.

OEM associates are expected to complete their responsibilities within a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends and are eligible for overtime as applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively solicit, sell, and contract corporate catering only events, social catering, wedding events, including but not limited to:
    Weddings, rehearsal dinners, farewell brunches, Birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations of life, Cultural celebrations, holiday parties, fundraisers, Private social, Corporate events, luncheons, celebrations, meetings etc.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals for:
    Catering food & beverage, Event space rental, packages and add-ons.
  • Manage the full sales cycle:
    Lead response and qualification, Site tours and Client Presentations, Proposal Development, Contract Negotiation and execution
  • Upsell menus, bar packages, décor, enhancement, and add-on experiences to maximize total event value
  • Serve as the primary Wedding Expert and brand ambassador for The Ameswell hotel
  • Develop, maintain, and update: wedding packages, wedding menus (in collaboration with Culinary and Operations), preferred vendor lists (planners, florists, DJs, photographers, rentals etc.)
  • Conduct personalized wedding consultations and property tours.
  • Manage wedding lead flow from:
    Hotel website, Wedding platforms and directories, Bridal shows and community partnerships
  • Represent the hotel at wedding fairs, showcases, and other corporate networking events.
  • Track catering booking pace, conversion ratios, and revenue performance.
  • Participate in the development of marketing materials, campaigns and promotions related to the Catering Corporate and Social / Wedding Segment
  • Maintain a strong presence in the local market as a preferred catering event venue.
  • Deliver a high-touch, consultative sales experience from inquiry to contract.
  • Ensure clear communication of:
    Event details, Hotel policies, Payment schedules, Attrition and cancellation terms and etc.
  • Organize and manager pre-cons and post-cons with all clients.
  • Accurately enter, manage, and maintain:
    Leads, accounts, and bookings in CRM / sales systems, Contracts, amendments, and payment schedules
  • Ensure all contracts comply with hotel standards, revenue goals, and legal guidelines.
  • Monitor tentative bookings and follow up to maximize conversion.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting for:
    Corporate pace, Wedding pace, Social catering pace, Monthly and annual revenue projections
  • Work closely with:
    Conference Services, Group Rooms, Culinary and Banquets Teams, Marketing, Revenue
  • Occasionally manager small courtesy room blocks in support of catering events when required.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, BEO meetings, and strategy sessions.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to leadership regarding: pricing, package performance, competitive trends
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 2 + years of successful experience in proactive hotel sales
  • Strong knowledge of the corporate, social and wedding market trends
  • Be comfortable working in a team selling environment.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working weekends and evenings as business needs dictate
  • Proficient in English language.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Familiar with common computer software programs, including Microsoft Office.
