About the Role
Khan Academy is looking for a passionate Sales Representative to join the District Partnership team. The role focuses on expanding Khan Academy Districts partnerships to support schools and school districts across the country. You will manage incoming leads and prospect new partners in small to medium sized (2,500 to 10,000 students) school networks and districts in the Northeast, pitch the value of our products and services, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth sales process.
Key Responsibilities- Own the full sales cycle for inbound leads across the Northeast.
- Collaborate with the Districts Operations team to define and implement process improvements for vetting, engaging, and tracking all inbound leads.
- Coordinate with the Director of School Partnerships and Northeast Sales leads to identify target partners for outreach.
- Support Northeast Sales leads on special projects such as state–level initiatives, conferences, pitch meetings, and training sessions for teachers and administrators.
- Meet monthly and yearly sales targets, tracking and reporting status of all current leads in Salesforce and in weekly meetings.
- Assist sales team members in the contracting process for school and small district partnerships.
- Work closely with the Districts Marketing team and sales enablement to provide feedback on marketing campaigns and sales collateral.
- Collaborate with District Success and Professional Learning teams to transition new partners to implementation and support managers.
- Coordinate with the Khan Academy Kids and Assessments teams, and external partners, to offer additional services to target districts.
- Assist the sales and operations teams in creating proposals for RFPs/RFQs, Data Privacy Agreements, and vendor documentation.
- Act as a customer voice to product teams, relaying partner feedback to help prioritize the roadmap.
- 2+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, or professional learning roles, with at least 1 year partnering with US schools or school districts.
- Understanding of the K-12 education market and EdTech providers.
- Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand the needs of all stakeholders in a school district ecosystem and adjust the pitch accordingly.
- Experience with inbound and outbound lead generation and managing a sales pipeline.
- Background as a former classroom teacher or administrator (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and think creatively to provide realistic solutions for partners.
- Passion for education and driving meaningful change, with an understanding of how that translates into successful partnerships.
- Experience using a CRM to track all stages of a sales pipeline;
Salesforce preferred. - Knowledge of district procurement processes and experience submitting bids for RFPs/RFQs (nice to have).

The compensation band for this role is $77,600 – $97,000 USD annually for candidates based in the United States. This role is not eligible for bonuses or commissions.
